HENRY SUPPORT ARSENE WENGER OVER LACK OF DEAL
Strong criticisms have followed Arsenal’s failure to sign an outfield player in this current pass transfer window, and coach Arsene Wenger has been the main target of the supporters outrage, but club legend Thierry Henry has jump in defence of the under fire professor.
Arsenal’s signing of Petr Cech from Chelsea was their only main transaction in the transfer window meaning
they are the only football club in Europe’s elite leagues not to sign any player except.
The Gooners had been rumored with the likes of Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema and PSG’s Edinson Cavani but Henry said that those player would not sign with Arsenal or come to England.
“I do not know if the coach wanted Benzema, but the player must have passion to come,” he said.
“What Arsenal fc going to offer to the guy who is playing for one of the elite football club on the planet, knowing that he is playing there weekly, and doing well?
“So I know that Arsene did not want to buy any other players – it would have a different story if he had really said: ‘I do not want to bring in any other players.’ But he said that if i buy, then I will try to buy someone.
“But how do you buy Benzema from Real Madrid when he plays regularly and Cavani also from Paris Saint-Germain – he scored again at the weekend? It is a very hard one.
“I know he wanted to buy player but it didn`t just happen
“Currently Arsenal is five points behind City, have not won at the Emirate, won two matches by an own goal, which is actually their Saviour at the moment.
“It does not look good now like Arsenal are going to win the league the way the league table at this time. But I know Wenger believes he can win Epl with that squad and that team does not look good enough. And that is his prerogative.
“the manager should bring player to the team and i think Arsene try to but it could not happen, but I still think that squad needed some players.”
With only three goals in their first four EPL matches , Arsenal supporters had hoped of a deadline transfer day transaction, the type that brought Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid two seasons ago.
